Donald George Amenda Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Kathy Hospice on February, 22, 2024, at age 92. Loving husband of Dolly for 69 years. Beloved father of Douglas (Maureen), Gail Oberdas, and Michael (Jenny). Grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 20. Survived by his brother Erv. Further survived by other family and friends.
Preceded in death by his siblings Lorraine, Louie, Arnie, Bill, and Roy.
Donald served in the United States Army. He was a hard worker with a great work ethic. He retired from Otis Elevator and enjoyed 30 years of retirement.
He was an excellent sportsman. He enjoyed baseball, golf, tennis, swimming, ping-pong, and pool.
Donald and Dolly were very involved in church. Both sang in the choir.
He was very handy and enjoyed building things and crafting with Dolly. He had a tremendous impact on his grandchildren. He was very hands on and taught them many skills, including crafting, building, and fixing things.
He will be deeply missed by his family.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:30am at Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield). Please meet the family in the green parking area in front of the main building. Family and guests will line up in their vehicles along the curbside. Procession to the crypt will start from there at 10:30am.
