He was predeceased by: his siblings, Earl Gardiner (Leda), Vivian Place (Orville), Betty Pape and Evelyn Bruder (Norb); and his stepson Jeffrey "Randy" Cleveland.
He is survived by: his friend Mike Haney; his wife Susanne Gardiner; his daughter Amber Gardiner (Wim Leydes); his stepdaughter Sheila Cleveland (Donna); his grandchildren, Jodi Pirkovic (Joe), Dustin Cleveland, Caryssa Christian (Jeremy) and Amanda Bybee (John); his great grandchildren, Dylan, Tori, Anthony and Chase; and his brother-in-law Eldon Pape. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
