He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Jr. Slamar and Frances Slamar (Dix); his parents-in-law, Steve and Sue Savas; and his brother-in-law Niko Savas.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Savas; his children, Nicolae Epping (Rion), Maria Pfister (Adam), Elizabeth Begolli (Vegim) and David Slamar (Allison); his grandchildren, Daphne, Ansel Epping, Everett, Graham Pfister, Vera and Rina Begolli; and his siblings, Louis Slamar III (Margaret), Frank Slamar (Carmela), Steven Slamar (Margaret), Susan Elmer (Guy), Peggy Riedel (Ray), Kathleen Sekany (Bob) and Laurie (Hal). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
