He is survived by: his wife Jane Pagel (Pagel); his children, Andrew Fuhrmann (Susan), Amy Hanson (Tim) and Audra Neuman (Shawn); his grandchildren, Katelynn Fuhrmann (Jason), Kristine Fuhrmann (Luke), Brandon Fuhrmann (Cassie), Elizabeth "Libby" Hanson (CJ), Tanner Hanson, Landon Hanson, Aidan Neuman, Adeline Neuman and Ashlin Neuman; his great grandchildren, Bailey Grace and Stella Jane; his sisters-in-law, Jean Hoyer (Gerald), Joan Holzschuh (John) and Junko Takahashi; his nieces and nephews, Adam Schwahn, Nathan Schwahn, Tera Pagel Holzschuh and George Holzschuh; and his godchildren, June Maile, Terry Behnke, Nathan Schwahn, Todd Kuchenbecker and George Holzschuh.
