He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Zabel and Mayme Zabel (Brown); his wife Sue Docter; and his brothers-in-law, Sean Wyer and Darwin Hilt Jr..
He is survived by: his siblings, Sheila Wyer of Brandon, Anita Hilt of Ripon and Mark Zabel (Ann) of Brandon; his nephew Christopher Swaw-Wyer (Amanda); his nieces, Rachel Wyer and Erika Kaatz (Jason); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Juniper Swaw-Wyer, Sawyer Slate, Jack, Britney and Evan Kaatz; and his cousin Harold Brown (Dawn). He is also survived by numerous cousins, the Docter family, other relatives and many dear friends.
