We bid farewell to Betty J. Schiel in Bowler, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 15, 2024 at the age of 93. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Putnam and Thelma Putnam (Davids); her husband Douglas Schiel; her son David; her siblings, Beryl Schwab (Henry), Virgie Putnam, Ramona Harder (Eugene), Pauline McCartan (John), Beverly White (Erwin) and Joseph Putnam; and her brother-in-law Ralph Hartley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Haueter (Fred), Sandra Blaha (Scott) and Karen Thompson (Kevin); her grandchildren, Loni Gornick (Jim), Daniel Haueter (Rachel Darken), Chrstine Rojewski (Chris), Emily Tay (David), Tracy Shing (Chris) and Melissa Clayburn (Jared); her sisters, Alice Marie Demjen (John) and Judy Hartley; and her sister-in-law Rosie Putnam. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Wilderness (N5197 Moh He Con Nuck Road, Bowler, WI 54416). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Highland Memorial Park (14875 W Greenfield Ave, New Berlin, WI 53151).
