He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Lucille Jones (Martin) and Loyd Lucille; his brothers, Jerry and Donnie Jones; his parents-in-law, George and Rose Jackovich; and his nephew Jason Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadine "Rose" (Jackovich); his children, David Jones (Cathy), JulieAnne Schultz (Gus) and John Jones (Michelle); his grandchildren, Paul Jones (Julie), Anne Jones, Samantha Schultz, Jimmy Schultz, George Schultz, Jack Schultz, Parker Jones and Payton Jones; his great grandchildren, Olivia and Aubrey Jones; his godchild Cindi McCully; his parents-in-law, Leonard Jackovich (Sue), Eugene Jackovich and Lynn Jones; and also, Merodee Buechner, Lori Burns and Konnie Jerabek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in James' name to Mount Horeb VFW Post No. 9511 and American Legion Post No. 0113 Veterans Memorial, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 1900 S. Park St., Madison, WI 53713 or a charity of choice.
