It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Ann Mergen (Bloomington, Wisconsin), born in Glen Haven, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Kirschbaum and Rosella Kirschbaum; her husband Tom Mergen; her son Brent Mergen; her son-in-law Kevin Martin; her brothers, Donald and Robert Kirschbaum; and her close friend Dayle Meyer.

She is survived by: her children, Bruce Mergen (Shirley) of Birmingham, AL, Alan Mergen (Dawn) of Bloomington, WI, Kim Martin of Prairie du Chien, WI and Amy Montgomery (Craig) of Sun Prairie, WI; her daughter-in-law Ruth Mergen of Boomer, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Bernadine Kirschbaum of Lancaster, WI and Mary Murphy (Gene) of Madison, WI. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
