She is survived by: her husband Eugene "Red" Newstrom; her brother Kim Kimmerle; her daughters, Peggy Newstrom and Amy Lowry (Frank "Chip"); her granddaughter Alissa Huikko (Eric); and her great grandchild Harley.

Memorial service to be held at MVUUF after the pandemic and a burial at Fort Snelling at a later date.
