He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schwartz and Agnes Schwartz (Zwiefelhofer); his wife Vernetta Harings; his siblings, Larry Schwartz, Kathleen Zwiefelhofer, Donnie and Clara Schwartz; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Meinen, Ronnie Zwiefelhofer, Tom Bohl and Gerald Berge.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Poirier (Joe) of New Auburn, Sandy Adams (Joe) of Tilden, Tammy Schemenauer (Dennis) of Bloomer, Pam Schemenauer (Kent) of Cornell, Barby Warren (Todd) of Bloomer and Mike Schwartz (Heather) of Bloomer; his close friend Donna Smith; his siblings, Jim Schwartz (Bernice) of Bloomer, Myrna Meinen of Chippewa Falls, Helen Berge of Bloomer and Linda Frank (Wayne) of Bloomer; and his sister-in-law Jill Schwartz of Bloomer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
