He was predeceased by: his parents, Velna Oldenberg and Leonard Oldenberg; and his brothers, Ole (Verlyn), Snort (Dennis), Buck (Eugene), Red Oldenberg (Ronald), Julius Bathke and Doris Bathke.

He is survived by: his wife Kim; his daughters, Kari Zwiefelhofer (Garret), Jana Oldenberg (LeAnn Mense), Trey and Skylar; his siblings, Judene Friberg (Pete), Linda Motzer (Byron) and Dean Oldenberg (Luann); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Oldenberg, Jackie Oldenberg, Kay Bathke (Mark Mensik), Gary Bathke (Pam), Mark Bathke and Scott Bathke (Beverly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
