He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Peters (Clair) and Harrison Peters; his sisters, Ardell Tollefson (Gaylord), Jannette Johnson (Kenny) and June Moen (Allen); and his granddaughter Ashley Peters.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Stirn; his children, Steve Peters (Karen) of Ettrick, Ryan Peters (Shari) of Blair and Nicole Peters (Cathy Bass) of Blair; his grandchildren, Kaylee Waldvogel (Justin) of Ettrick, Kassie Maasen (Chad) of Blair, Alexa Becherer (Chase) of Menomonie and Luke Peters (Brenna) of Hixton; his great grandchildren, Aspen, Barret Waldvogel and Myla Maasen; his brother Darwin Peters (Marlene) of Blair; and his pet Patty. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends.

While Roger was never one to donate per se to charitable organizations he had a warm and giving heart.
