He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Stay and Selma Stay; his wife Joyce Relyea; his daughter Barbara Nestingen (Mark); and his sister Dorothy Beaver (Art).
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Dougherty (Jerry), Kim Stephenson and Kevin Stay (Beth). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation.
The family requests memorial donations to the Trempealeau Valley Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
