She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Janca and Romona Janca (Coniff); her sister Jane Padrnos (Janca); her uncle Pete; and her aunt Madonna Loomis.
She is survived by: her pet Mittens; her children, Paul Mahlum Jr. (Dawn), Cathy Clauson (John) and Charles (Lisa); her grandchildren, Scott Mahlum (Tristina Yeiter), Melissa Rusch (Cam Dezelske), Heidi Mahlum (James Herried), Clarissa Ross (Nic), Paul "Rusty", Shawn McCarthy (Karon), Jenna Klum (Nick), John Paul Clauson (Hailey), Amber Heintz, Madeline "Maggie" Mahlum, Natasha Clauson and Dakota Clauson; and her children, Mary and Mittens. She is also survived by niece and several nephews.
In response to the current COVID-19 situation, private family funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church and burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Hokah, MN.
