She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Marecek; her parents, Wayne Mertz and Alice Mertz; her brothers, Larry and Elburne Mertz; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Gould.

She is survived by: her children, Scott Marecek (Annette) and Dawn Peterson (Christopher); her grandchildren, Amanda, Caleb, Nathan, Jennifer Marecek, Darby and Maxwell Peterson; her siblings, Cliff Mertz (Susan) and Milly Gould; and her sisters-in-law, Joan Mertz and Linda Mertz.
