He was predeceased by: his parents, John Berger and Verna Berger (Bergerson); his siblings, Myron, Wayne, Vernon and Judy Rieck; and his siblings-in-law, Karen, Judy Berger and Richard Hynes.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his sons, Steven Berger (Amy) and Scott Berger (Jass Bauer); his granddaughters, Cynthia Hollis, Cassandra Berger and Christine Berger; his great grandchild Alexis Hollis; and his siblings, Leslie, John Jr. (Robin), Richie (Leone), Linda Kulig (Fred), Karen Schwarzhoff (Bernie) and LaVon Hynes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
