He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Heimke and Helen Heimke (Vandenlangenberg); and his siblings, Shirley Heimke (Roland) and Russell Heimke. He is survived by: his sons, Randall Heimke (Nancy) and Ronald Heimke (Jean); his grandchildren, Jed, Jesse, Bryan and Marlene (Joshua); and his great grandchildren, Sophia and Connor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
