Paul Jorgen Skalet Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Jorgen Skalet of Black Earth, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 8, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Skalet (Mickelson) and Jorgen Skalet; his uncle Gil; his daughter Kristin; and his son-in-law Harry Forseth.

He is survived by: his former wife Joan Swacina; his children, Erika Forseth and Trygve; his sisters, Joanne and Julie; his wife Joanie; his grandsons, Asher and Brady; his nieces, Amy (Paul), Jill (Randy), Emily (Tim) and Allison; and his aunt Dorothy Mae Rasmussen. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and countless fun cousins.

Respecting COVID-19 guidelines, a Memorial Service with Military Rites will be held outdoors in the church parking lot at VERMONT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 9886 Vermont Lutheran Church Rd., Black Earth, on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 3 p. m., with Pastor Barry Hoerz presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vermont Lutheran Church and the Black Earth Historical Society.
