She was predeceased by: her parents, James Meekma and Grace Meekma (Buursma); her daughter Joan Bartow; and her siblings, James, Peter Meekma, Eveline Phillips, Clarice Krueger and Amy Bornick.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence A. Michaelis; her daughters, Lois Grant (Roy), Karen Meyer (Jack), Donna Mae Juno and Irene Bollerud; her son-in-law Randy Bartow; her sister Grace Catherine Atkinson; and her grandchildren, Lona Renvick (Marvin), Ashley Parker (Joe), Jason Meyer, Shane Bartow, Brandon Juno (Rebekah Hustad), Blake Bollerud and A. J. Bollerud. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
