She was predeceased by: her parents, Sever Skalet and Dorothea Skalet (Venden); her former husband Lyle Underwood; her husband Richard Rasmussen August; her son Kenny; and her siblings, Grant Skalet (Grace), Jorgen Skalet (Mildred), Steven Skalet (Inez), Gilbert Skalet, Maurice Skalet, Phillip Skalet (Ethel), Thora Gillette (Welbern) and Phyllis Bower (David).

She is survived by: her children, Mary Kohl (Dennis), Rick Underwood, Jeff Underwood and Jerry Underwood. She is also survived by six grandchildren; five great grandsons; other relatives and friends.
