He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Stephani and Irene Stephani (Weyenberg); and his granddaughter Rochelle Gueller. He is survived by: the mother of his children Diana Malcheski; his children, Craig (Lynette Gueller) and Stacey Stephani (John Ysebaert); his grandsons, Maxwell Ysebaert and Trevor Gueller; and his brothers, William (Evelyn Mack), Richard (Nancy) and Herbert Stephani (Lynda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“I met Lowell in Fairbanks 2001-we had flown our planes there for the Shortwing Piper convention in Anchorage. We flew our planes together all over Alaska, camped at the same campgrounds etc. I lived in Burlington, WI, Lowell told me to fly to Iola for the wonderful Friday lunches there. He was a very kind, funny, all around nice guy & awesome Pilot! He visited my husband & I in Florida a few times; I introduced him to my neighbor here. I will miss him as many will. My deep Sympathies to family.”
