She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Derks; her son Timothy; her grandchildren, Taylor Skenandore and Matthew Rynish; her great grandchildren, Solanus and Isaac; her sister-in-law Marlene Derks; her brother Joseph; and her siblings-in-law, Vera, Ben Krueger, Esther Henry and Earl Zuleger.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Sassman; her son Thomas (Chris) of Madison; her grandchildren, Olivia Wimble (Nate) and Peter (Eriko); her daughter-in-law Linda Sassman (Timothy) of Appleton; her grandchildren-in-law, Andrew, Carrie Heiting (Eric) and Heather Franson (Jim); her son Stephen (Barbara) of Black Creek; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott (Lori) and Paul (Jenny); her daughter Christine Rynish (Lee) of Seymour; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Shelley), Jonathan (Katie), Tiffany Hacker (Jon) and Joshua (Kari); her daughter Elaine Skenandore (Keith) of Kaukauna; her grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica), Bret and Jordan; her great grandchildren, Baby Rynish and Baby Skenandore; her brothers, James, Richard (Shirley) and Robert Derks; and her siblings-in-law, Marian Zuleger and Laverne Sassman (Joyce). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
