He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Murphy (Hock); his brother David; his sister-in-law Mary; his brothers, Marty and Jeff Murphy; his uncle Robert Geurts; his in-laws, Leo and Dorothy Gosz; and his siblings-in-law, Lynn Gosz Wilson and Robert Leo Gosz.
He is survived by: his father Ralph Murphy; his wife Janice Murphy; his sons, Scott Murphy (Connie) and Robert (Heather Budler-Ronzoni); his grandchildren, Rylie, Addie, Claire, Logan, Lucas, Liam, Lennon, Morgan, Julien, Amaya and Olive; his siblings, Pat Murphy, Brian Murphy (Rachel) and Scott Murphy (Jane); his in-laws, JoAnne Kaczrowski (Gene), Carol Truyman (Dave), Dick Gosz (Shirley McGlin), Dennis Gosz (Linda), Jean Morrow (Pete Larsen), Jerry Gosz (Tammy), Diane Gilbert (Tom) and Mary Kent (Jim); and his nephew Michael Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
