She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Herrema and Anna Hettinga Herrema; her husband Victor W. TenHaken; and her siblings, Gretchen, Betty Jane and Richard.

She is survived by: her children, Randall K., Vicki Ruth TenHaken (John Meshkin) of Holland, MI, John W. and Ronald D.; and her brother Calvin Herrema.

Ruth requested that in lieu of flowers, any memorials or gifts be given to New Hope Community Church, Wausau, WI.
