He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Thayer and Ella Thayer (Rahe); his wife Sandra Thayer (Malueg); and his brother-in-law Raymond Starr Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Siobhan Thayer and Sean Thayer (Melissa); his stepdaughter Angel Malueg-Thiex (Dennis); and his sister Louise Starr. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
