He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Cassata and Helen Cassata (Cox); his parents-in-law, Ottiave and Norman; and his sister-in-law Donna Wick.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Gunderson of Eau Claire; his sons, Anthony (Dean Liazuk) of Eau Claire, Brent (Jennifer) of Findlay, OH and Kevin (Candi) of Verona; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Megan, Kaden, Lindsey, Carter, Cate and Kenley; his siblings, Karen Baszynski and Steve (Bernadette); and his brother-in-law Marshall Wick (Carol). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Bethesda Lutheran Church or to the Mayo Hospice Center.
