Jerome E. Lepak Obituary
Jerome Edward Lepak passed peacefully into his new heavenly home on Christmas Morning, Sunday, December 25, 2022 at age 89 and is back in the loving arms of his wife Alice and son, Danny.
He was born on April 6, 1933 in Edgar, Wisconsin; son of the late Joseph and Cecelia Lepak. He was united in marriage on August 4, 1956 to the late Alice (nee Buchberger) Lepak and was a devoted husband for 64 years.
Jerome "Jerry" was the caring father of five children, Jeff (Susan) Lepak, grandchildren Jessica (Jamie) Westlund, great- grandchildren Lena and Arlo; James (Katie) Lepak, great-grandchildren Liam and Loretta; Russ (Toni) Lepak, grandchildren Melissa (Brian) Schuett, great-grandchildren Aubrey, Lia, and Ty; Chad Lepak; Cheri (Randal) Carr, grandchildren Kevin (Tina) Carr, great-grandchildren Brayden and Sophia; Kelly (Nate) Weller, great-grandchildren Collin, Alex, and Ryan; Kory (Jessica) Carr; Bill Lepak, and the late Danny Lepak.
He is also survived by his dear sisters; Evelyn Imhoff and Caroline Mason, brother; Kenneth Lepak and his sisters-in law; Joan Lepak and Marilyn Schumacher, as well as many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife Alice, son Danny and his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Thomas, Marvin, Franklin, and Norman Lepak, and his sisters, Irene Knetter and Jean Parlier. Jerry was a hard worker with great enthusiasm for life.
He loved the outdoors, ginseng farming, spending time fishing and hunting in the Northwoods, cheering on his favorite sports teams, welcoming family members to wonderful holiday celebrations and joining them on beautiful vacations.
He proudly served in the US Army from June 1953- May 1955. Jerry was a man of strong faith who embraced life with passion, joy, and laughter. He held a special place in many hearts. Family members would like to thank the staff and residents at LindenGrove Communities (Mukwonago) for their care and friendship over the last two years.
Schmidt-Bartelt Funeral Home (Mukwonago) is assisting the family with arrangements. A celebration of Jerry's life will be Friday, December 30, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Big Bend: Visitation at 10:30 am in church and Funeral Mass at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Kidney Fund, Make-A-Wish Foundation, or Masses celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Big Bend in Jerry's name would be appreciated. Jerry was a kind, dependable, and generous man with a big heart and will be missed by all who knew him.
