He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smoody and Genevieve Smoody (Berlowski); his wife Barbara Smoody (Glick); and his brothers, Richard Smoody and Phillip Smoody.
He is survived by: his brothers, Leonard and Lawrence Smoody; his stepson Brian Sweet (Glick); and his nieces and nephews, Christopher, Joseph, Hope, Jesse, Jason, Josh, Amanda, Mike, Mary, Thomas and Peter.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jim's honor.
