It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Lawrence (Benton, Wisconsin), who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 32, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Leonard Lawrence, Gertrude Lawrence, Gordy and Deb Patrow; his great-grandparent Irene Evans; and his uncle Shawn Lawrence.
He is survived by: his wife Alisha of Madison; his parents, Amy Lawrence of Shullsburg, WI and John Lawrence of Stockton, Illinois; his brother Nicholas (Kristin) of Peoria, Illinois; his nephew Evan; his niece Leah; his grandmothers, Joan Shireman of Stockton and Jill Patrow of Shullsburg, WI; and his aunts and uncles, Lenora Cherry (Michael) of Benton, WI, Laurie Cutler (Ronald) of Linden, WI, Deana Shireman (Dave Anderson) of St Croix Falls, WI, Kristie Gobeli (Kiel) of Bastrop, Jalaina Fawcett (Ron) of Cuba City, WI, Viva Zink (Al) of Hazel Green, WI, Tim Lawrence (Deana) of Benton, WI, Paul Patrow of Shullsburg, WI and Tom Patrow (Heidi) of Belleville, WI.
On April 29, 2023, the life of Michael Lawrence came full circle as he selflessly gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. This is what Michael wanted and is a small illustration of who he was as a person, and also, because he was on the receiving end of a donated kidney when someone gave him a new life 30 some years ago when he was 18 months old, which humbled Michael to want to keep that cycle of donation alive.
