It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Joseph of Benton, Wisconsin, born in Benton, Illinois, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Davis and Hildred Davis (Dillon); her former husband Palmer Swanson Jr.; her son Evan Swanson; her daughter-in-law Tina Swanson; and her siblings, Darrel Davis and Debbie Whitmore.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Swanson of Sterling, IL, Sonja Swanson of Wisconsin Rapids and Mark Swanson (Yolanda) of Wisconsin Rapids; her grandchildren, Conan Swanson, Kayla Swanson, Natalie Hendrix (Jacob), Kyle Swanson (Katie), Blake Swanson (Angie), Alec Swanson (Melissa), Ryann Swanson and Taylor Swanson; and her siblings-in-law, Judy Davis and Chuck Whitmore. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Joan's family requests donations to a memorial in her name benefiting two groups she was an active supporter of: Wisconsin Rapids Family Center and Wisconsin Rapids Community Theater.
