He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Dixon and Mary Agnes Dixon (Randolph); his daughter Amy; his siblings, Jim Dixon, Pauline Eppes and Donald; and his siblings-in-law, Sylvia Knaak, Fred Schadewald, John Barber and Kenneth Eppes.

He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Knaak; his son Scott; his foster daughter Wanda Dixon (Draeving); his son Don (Jennell); his friend Bob Bredeson; his grandchildren, Shelbie, Jaden and Chad; his great grandchild Reina Ramirez; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Schadewald, Lesta Barber and Marlys Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the River of Life United Methodist Church Choir or the University of WI Carbone Cancer Center.
