He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Nyre and Elda Nyre (Schultz); and his daughter Kathleen Nyre Mauel. He is survived by: his wife Delores Nelson; his children, Susannah Rearick (Mark) and Joseph Nyre (Kelli); his grandchildren, Evan Farnum, Alexis Long, Ryan Long, Maddox Rearick, Hadley Nyre, Joseph Henry Nyre, Charlie Nyre and Evelyn Nyre; his great grandchild Nora Farnum; his son-in-law Cale Mauel; and his siblings, Michael Nyre (Mary Jane) and Llona Sailing (Nyre).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium (2355 Cranston Rd, Beloit, WI 53511). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the The Birch Room (3807 S Riverside Dr, Beloit, WI 53511).
