He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wetter and Erna Wetter Sr. (Boettcher); and his sisters, Joan Crook (Dale), Janice Dittmer (William) and Mary Burford Wichman (Gerald).
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Wetter; his daughter Jennifer Donnelly Wetter; and his brother-in-law David Wichman. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial donations in his name may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to the Beloit Health System Foundation.
