He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd McConnell and Minnie McConnell; his daughter Mitzi McConnell; and his siblings, Sonny McConnell, Gertrude Frenk, Darlene Buhrman, Betty Horter and Beverly Lathers.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary McConnell Jr. and Jeff McConnell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
