She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Tempel and Gertrude Tempel (Avenarius); her husband Donald Helms; and her children, Anne Flaten and Barry Helms.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy Helms (Christine), Butch Helms (Kelly) and Don Helms; her sister Carol Prater; her children-in-law, Cindy Helms and Mike Flaten; and her sister-in-law Joan Helms. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
