With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert Barker of Beloit, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 10, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Barker and Willie Barker (Leatherwood); and his siblings, Henry Dean Barker, Willie Esther Barker, Hattie Franklin (James), Willie Ann Barker and Pearlie M. Cannaday (Eddie).
He is survived by: his wife Birdia Barker; his children, Sharon Scott and Albert Barker Jr. (Vicki); his grandchildren, Tandon Scott, Courtney Scott and Caris Bell; his great grandchildren, Isaiah Vahary, Noah Scott, Marlee Scott, Azar Scott and Asaan Scott; and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Foster (Jesse), Charles Foster, William Foster (Belinda), Eldora Purnell (Ernest) and Teresa Hardaway (Albert). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A masonic service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home (424 Prospect St, Beloit, WI 53511). Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (1151 E Grand Ave, Beloit, WI 53511). A committal service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floral Lawn Cemetery (835 Dearborn Ave, South Beloit, IL 61080).
