He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Wedig and Sylvia Wedig (Kieler); his parents-in-law, Victor and Doris Kowalski; his brother John Wedig; his brother-in-law Jack Knebel; his niece Carla Knebel; and his nephew Daniel Baert.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kowalski; his children, Brenda Peterson (Matthew), Trisha Wedig, John Wedig (Shirley Clifford) and Kayla Wheeler (James); his grandchildren, Kenzingtyn, Emersyn, Breckyn, Holden Peterson, Greyden Wedig, Dawsyn Graser, Hayden and Ainsley Wheeler; his siblings, Pat Wedig (Mary), Mary Therese Muller (Ron), Paul Wedig (Jane), Jane Pickel (Jim) and Sue Baert (Dan); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Loeschen (Steve), Donna Junk (Al), Joyce Anderson (Mark) and Ron Kowalski (Cheryl). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
