He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Schmid and Marion Schmid (Willoughby); his wife Joyce Goodman; his son Phillip; his grandson Scott Johnson, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Christian-Troy and Hailey (Marcy Peterson).
He is survived by: his friends, Tad and Teresa Tucker; his daughters, Cheryl Arn and Pamela Brunner (Bill); his grandchildren, Jeremy (Joni), Amanda, Matthew Andrew (Giang), Heather (Barry), Tahera (Tristan), Devin (Zachary) and Jon; and his siblings, Joyce Watson, Jane Nelson and Robert Schmid (Debbie). He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
