He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Zimmerman and Esther Zimmerman (Jones); his brother-in-law Bob Gefke; his parents-in-law, Perry and Helen Haugen; and his siblings-in-law, Jerome Haugen, Jim Frye, Tom Schmiedlin, Bob Whiting, Barb Haugen and Patti Nolden.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Haugen; his sister Jean Gefke; his nieces and nephews, Jackie Gefke, Betsy Brown (Jimmy), Steve Gefke (Carol), Paul Gefke (Jill) and Robert Gefke (Lisa); and his siblings-in-law, David Haugen (Joyce), Perry Haugen, Jean Haugen, Phyliss Haugen, James Haugen, Diane Frye, Victor Nolden, Bette Duerst (Ron), Marilyn Whiting and Mary Kaye Lashock (Joe).
