He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Cupp and Doretta Cupp (Glick); his wife Beverly Burkheimer; his son Kimmy; and his brothers, Charles, Earl and John.

He is survived by: his children, Douglas Cupp (Kris), Heidi Adams (Barry Gordon) and Tonja Grindle (Jeff); his grandchildren, Aimee Cupp (Darrick Hoesly), Alex Cupp, Courtney Adams (Nick Broetzmann), Collin Adams (Allie Ladron), Savannah Syvrud (Travis), Spencer Grindle (Tricia) and Sienna Grindle; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Kensley, Maxton, Adalynn and Everlee. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
