Virginella A. Gonwa Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2024, at the age of 93, Virginella A. Gonwa (Belgium, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Kleckner and Anastasia Kleckner (Strauss); her husband Roman Gonwa; her siblings, Rosemary Feyereisen, Roman and Agnes Huiras; and her brothers-in-law, Joe Barrett and Alois Huiras.
She is survived by: her children, David Gonwa (Gail) of Belgium, Denis Gonwa (Lynn) of De Pere, Ruth Schultz (Patrick) of Madison, Judy Effinger (Barry) of Port Washington, Scott Gonwa (Holly) of Cedarburg and Mark Gonwa (Tory) of Belgium; her grandchildren, Chad, Matt, Derek, Josh, Justin, Abby, Lindsay, Jake, Ashley, Carolyn, Nicholas, Brooke, Adam, Sabrina, Megan and Garrett; her great grandchildren, David, Gabrielle, Aiden, Merrick, Jase, Jude, Will, Miles, Cameron, Ada, Luci, Madelyn and Henry; her siblings, Delmar, Francis (Betty), Barbara Barrett, John (Kay), Daniel and James; and her brother-in-law Herman Feyereisen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Legion Auxiliary, the Holy Hill Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians or Heart of the Nation TV Mass Service.
