He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Burton and Elizabeth Burton (Thomas); his wife Mildred Schueller; his son Gerald Burton; his grandson Chad Viesselmann; and his siblings, Lambert Burton and Emily Liermann (Wally).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Burton, Roger Burton (Margaret), Joanne Viesselmann (Kim), Dan Burton (Jenny) and Judy Burton; his grandchildren, Amy Gonzales (Jack), Leah Stirling (Tony), Nick Burton (Lindsay), Joe Burton (Kyrie) and Jim Burton (Bri); his great grandchildren, Austin, Kayla, Adeline, Azaleah, Ana, Nelia, Brooks and Cas; his sister Marcella "Marcy" Dietzmann (Glenn); his sisters-in-law, Pearl Paradise, Carol Flerchinger, Bernice Schueller, Ginny Schueller and Angie Burton; and his daughter-in-law Kathy Stuyck (Bob). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
