He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Gwen Van Handel and Gary Ross Gilbertson (Heidi); his niece Kelly Kinneman (David); his stepsons, Jody Sather (Mary Chase) and Jerry Sather (Shannon Corbett); his sister Iris Winter; and his sisters-in-law, Marianne Gilbertson and Rosie Gilbertson. He is also survived by 9 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
