She was predeceased by: her parents, Linden Cuff and Evelyn Cuff (Yates); her children, Mary Agnew, James Elgersma and Gerald Elgersma; her grandsons, Benjamin Elgersma and Matthew Agnew; her great grandchild Max Riley; her stepfather Adolph Wolfram; her sister Judith Thewes; her stepsisters, Marilyn Wolfram and Eleanor Goold; and her former husband Melvin Elgersma.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Vande Kolk (James Slagle) of Evansville, WI, Steven Elgersma (Kathy) of Scandinavia, WI, Cena Kamphuis (Alan) of Waupun, Barbara Vant Hoff (Gregory) of Beaver Dam, David Elgersma (Heidi) of Beaver Dam and Gregory Elgersma (Kate) of Zephyr Hills, FL; and her children-in-law, Dan VandeKolk and Linda Elgersma. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations in Ruth's name be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
