She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Horn and Esther Horn (Zimmerman); her grandmother Emma Horn; her husband Robert L. Messer of Stephen's Lutheran Church; her siblings, Donna, Eunice Stofflet (Nelson), Betty Indermuhle (Roland) and Butch Horn; and her sister-in-law Karen Schimming.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Messer (Debbie Harder) of DeForest, Sheree Mattke (Otto) of Columbus, Deb McFarlane (Mac) of Beaver Dam and Curtis Messer of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren, Angie Kieta (Dan), Ben Messer (Jennifer Brink), Megan Duffy (Ryan), Rachel Ver Velde (Brandon), Jay Schmuhl (Amy), Mike Schmuhl (Jaime), Jeff Schmuhl (Mandi), Amanda Fischer (Joe), Adam Messer (Amanda), Drew Messer and Abby Messer; her great grandchildren, Brianne, Brooke, Will, Henry, Callan, Kaleb, Kelin, Hayden, Charlotte, Evelyn, Meredith, Berkley and Brielle; and her brothers-in-law, Lynn Messer (Rita) and Charles Schimming. She is also survived by many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
