He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Mares and Leona Mares (Stypa); his parents-in-law, Norbert and Eileen Norder; his sister Rojene Kramer; his brother-in-law Steve Norder; his nephews, Aaron Mares, Michael Kramer and William Kramer; and his niece Maureen Abrahamson.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his grandchildren, Nyles, Brynnlei Schmandt, Callen, Henry, Hattie Sanderson and Veda Mares; and his siblings, Gerard Mares (Ann), Carmie Kuhnke (Rodger), Marie Armstrong (Jim), John Mares (Kathy) and Terry Mares.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Jim's family.
