He was predeceased by: his father Larry Schmitz; and his brother Jeff. He is survived by: his mother Marian Schmitz (Mickelson); his wife Lori Picknell; his daughters, Gina Sookiayak (Harvey) of Rice Lake and Tracy Rudolf (Tom) of Rice Lake; his grandchildren, Eliana, Ariana, Ian, Anaya, Kayla and Paige; and his siblings, Sue Schmitz (Brian Heup) of Barron and Kevin Schmitz (Kim Hanson) of Barron. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
