He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Berg and Ethel Berg; his wife Belle Berg; his brothers, Elmer Berg (Lilah) and Roy Berg (Thelma); and his brother-in-law Dick Coaty.

He is survived by: his children, Bill Berg (Marla) of Emmetsburg, IA, Bruce Berg (Michelle) of Eau Claire and Jean Sarauer (Jeff) of Bloomer; and his sister Alice Coaty of Rockford, IL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
