She was predeceased by: her parents, Niels Boysen and Elfriede Boysen; and her son Christopher Thompson. She is survived by: her husband John Elam; her daughter Heide Bowen (Josh); her stepchildren, Jeremiah Elam and Veronica Jo McCracken (Tony); her grandchildren, Beth, John, Sam, Jasper, Lexie and William; and her siblings, Stewart Boysen (Marlys), Barb Knittle (Paul), Marge Lange and Sandy Everman (Byron).
