He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stair and Elsie Stair (Hartzel); his wife Cora; his great grandchildren, Tanner Hartman, Zachariah Greenlee and Sophia Katherine Epley; and his sister Leana Koenig (Mel).
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Cora Clements; his children, Carol Johnson (late Dwight) of Woodbury, MN, Nancy Bartlett (Michael) of Westfield, Lyle Stair (Becky) of Barron, Karen Scribner (Dale) of Spooner and Eva Phelps (John) of South St; his nephews, Max Koenig and Morris Koenig; and his niece Sherri Rovang (Koenig). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren.
